The Rosé beginning

It all began with a glass of rosé. And another one. Then someone turned on my fav song and somehow our eyes laid on the fountain. Next thing we know, we’re drying our clothes in the taxi. We met a friend. Again, a rosé. We ended up on the roof, under the starry sky. It didn’t take long till we shared a hug and met the sunrise together. Next time, i’m counting again on rosé. Wine crime. The rosé of your stories.

How the Rose Wine is produced?

For Wine Crime was chosen the most common method being early pressing of red grape varieties after a very short period, usually few hours, of skin contact. Rosé can also be produced in a variety of ways.

Saignée

The saignée method is the practice of removing (“bleeding off”) some of the juice from the must in order to more deeply concentrate this phenolics, color and flavor the red wine.

Decolorization

Another method of producing Rosé is to severely decolorize a red wine using absorbent charcoal such as activated carbon. This purer form of charcoal obtained by the fry distillation of carbon compounds (such as wood or peat) has a high ratio of surface area to weight that absorbs color compounds as week as other phenolics and colloids in a wine.

VIN GRIS

Unlike the maceration method which gives some, albeit very brief, time for the juice to be in contact with the skin vin gris are wines made from the immediate pressing of red skin grapes without any maceration time.
